Wood River High School Senior, class of 2025. Old Jeep. Old Pictures. Duck Tape. Spare tire cover. Story time…
Ayden is one of our Season Seniors and his first session over the summer was one for the books!
I had questions for Ayden’s mom, Nicole…one of them is, can you please explain the meaning of the pictures duck taped in the jeep? Those are two favorite photos in our family of my grandpa and then both of my grandparents at their wedding. We wanted to put a piece of them in the Jeep. Ayden and I decided it had to be placed with duct tape because grandpa thought anything could be fixed with duct tape. It could never be colored duct tape because that was too fancy and expensive. Just regular duct tape for the win.
One more question for Nicole, Ayden’s mom…what is the back story on the spare tire cover? My grandpa had that Jeep for years. When they left Garden Valley to be closer to doctors in Boise when health issues became a problem, he sold the beloved Jeep. Years later the gentleman that he sold it to contacted our family and asked if we wanted to buy it back. My mom jumped at the chance. My grandparents were Glenn and Denise Giesler so mom named the Jeep the GlennDenny.
And there you have it! Ayden with his great grandpas jeep, with so much meaning and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Capturing such purposeful memories truly tugs at my heart!
Don’t we all wish we kept something so special from our great grandparents, grandparents or even parents??!! It truly is a beautiful story!
Thank you Ayden for being such a cool kid! I can’t believe I have watched you grow up right in front of my camera for so many years! I hope your senior year has been nothing but fun and making awesome memories!
More to share from this session but I felt like the jeep needed it’s own post!
