The Fewkes family! I was so excited when they contacted me to capture their family again. It had been so long since the last time, it seemed!
Some families, like the Fewkes, I know very well. I know the things they don’t like to do, or don’t like as a background, so we work together to plan the best place, location and poses that work best for their personalities. I say this because I know Dave (dad) does not ever want to sit on the ground. But, in true Kam form, I had an idea and just HAD to present it to them. It meant sitting on the ground. It was a pretty hard NO at first. Then it was, “maybe at the end”. Then it was actually Dave’s idea at the end to try the shot I was hoping for…and wa-llaaaa. It turned out great! They even loved it! I won’t push the sitting on the ground every time, Dave 😉.
Family portraits hold immense importance as they preserve family history, nurture emotional connections, strengthen relationships, contribute to a sense of identity, and serve as reminders of loved ones. They are cherished art that can be passed down through generations, fostering a deep appreciation for one’s family heritage and creating a lasting legacy.
Now… are you ready to get your family in front of the camera? Maybe this is a hard no. Then… Weeeelll, maybe?? How can I help you?
