Charlie…

March 31, 2022 by admin Leave a Comment

Oh Charlie! How in the world can you be graduating in eight weeks?!?! (sorry to point that out, Carolyn) We went from BYRDS rec riding probably 11 or 12 years ago to today in a blink of an eye! For real though!

You are still riding your bike! So awesome! You rode for Boise High in the NICA program and took on wrestling. Your parents are your biggest fans and they were right there cheering you along your entire journey! Nice work, kid! Keep working toward your dreams and goals! Enjoy these last eight weeks, adulting is coming soon enough! Congratulations!!

PS. We snuck in some family pictures at the end of his session, you know I love that! I love this updated family picture!! What do I love about it? I love the people, the blues, the beautiful sunset, and the water in the creek representing spring in our foothills!

Michele & family…

March 24, 2022 by admin Leave a Comment

It’s not easy getting everyone together for family portraits, but it’s worth it!!

Michele wanted updated pictures of her kids and grandkids! Was it cold? Of course! Was it hard to get everyone happy to be in the snow for an hour? Totally! Was there a few that absolutely hate getting their picture taken? Duh!! Were they all please with he results? What do you think??

It’s a good thing I help with clothing, helping everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and I am not an over shooter so we get it done!!

We have some fun new locations planned this year! Spring is here and now is time to start thinking about when you want family portraits done. Don’t wait until the last minute! Let’s start planning soon! What’s the first step? Go to my website (www.photographybykam.com), click on “Book Now”, choose a date on the calendar, choose a time under “Planning Session”. These take place in my North Boise office and take about 45 minutes! Let’s do this!!!

Sami & Family…

February 6, 2022 by admin Leave a Comment

Little Miss Sami is a senior! This gorgeous girl has such a sweet soul and made of nothing but kindness! We captured the last bit of the Fall colors and a bit of downtown to document her BIG milestone as a senior.

This session was a lot of Sami, and then a few family portraits. Sounds like the perfect afternoon!! Sami has such a cute style and such cute hair! I had the pleasure of helping coach her on the mountain bike team a few years ago. She never complained and always strived to be better. When she fell down, she got right back up. We say, it isn’t “if” you crash on a mountain bike, it is “when”!! When she did she got right back up! Like a champ!!

I have truly enjoyed photographing this amazing family for the last five or so years! I hope I still get to see them each year, even though the kids, well, are big kids now! Enjoy the rest of your senior year, Sami! Keep smiling, kiddo!!

Martell family…

February 6, 2022 by admin Leave a Comment

When your daughter is a season senior tribe member, you get to choose one season for family portraits! Great choice, Martell’s!! Winter is magical and sometimes we get lucky and have snow on the trees and a gorgeous sunset and I always have beautiful people in front of my camera.

I love that they included the family dog, Paxton! As you see in the 5th picture, he wanted to be center of attention! haha Well, he liked the camera and he nailed it!

The Martell outfits looked amazing! They sent me their ideas, I gave them some modification ideas and it all came together perfectly! The blue and grey tones look amazing in the snow! I also love a combination of solids and patterns. Nailed it!!

Are you ready to book your family or senior for the snow?? I have a few dates left and plenty of time to plan!

You know, I love that Idaho has four seasons. I truly embrace and love each one. Maybe it is because I know each season is short lived. Maybe it is because we live in a beautiful state. As my husband would say, “tell them these pictures were taken in California”. I think he wants to keep Idaho a dirty little secret! I think most people think we are horse and buggy and have potato fields everywhere…yep, that’s it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Do you love where you live? I sure do!

Schmidt Family…

January 21, 2022 by admin Leave a Comment

A surprise for her husband and senior portraits while we were at it! Okay, I know a lot of guys would not like the surprise of family portraits but when your oldest son, daughter in law and grand baby you have not met will be in town, all of this is a time to celebrate family while together.

We started with Jake and made sure we captured him on his own, with his guitar, scout uniform and his fishing pole. Jake was such a gentleman and rocked his session! While we shot him, the rest of the family played nearby. Throwing snowballs and exploring.

We got a few family portraits in and called it a night. It was a stress free, fun evening! With that said, our schedules took a few weeks before they could come in and view and order. So, mama Schmidt was very nervous and wasn’t sure the pictures turned out. Let’s just say she is super giddy about them! No need to stress peeps! You follow my tips and guidelines and they will be amazing! Nice work, Christina!!

Enjoy the rest of your senior year, Jake!

McCarthy Family…

One of my favorite backdrops…a winter wonderland!!

It was time to update family portraits for the beautiful McCarthy family. Their son was home for the holidays and so we worked together to get outfits figured out and all willing for a little adventure to the snow.
It really isn’t that cold to do snow pictures. Believe me?? Well, you should! I have tips and tricks and it is pure fun! I promise!

It was so great to have this family in front of my camera again! They rocked their winter wonderland session and we have a beautiful art wall designed for their wall. Can’t wait to hang it!

I have a few spots left for the snow. One at the end of February and one in March. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to book.

๐ŸšงWarning: you will have fun, sit/lay in the snow, get wet and of course you will eventually get cold. You may also be served hot chocolate and additives if needed. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Watson Family…

It worked! Families from all over Idaho met up for a little reunion at this beautiful location. We captured the entire family together, individual families, cousins, siblings, and of course the two who started it all! Pretty amazing if you ask me!

I have had Monica and her family in front of my camera for many years and so it was an honor to capture her siblings, parents, nieces and nephews this time around!

This is what I love to do you guys! What an honor to capture this family! They not only look amazing but they have some amazing memories together that show their relationships! So happy for them and I love the family art walls we created together! Sure to put a smile on their faces daily!!

**Private Property, I have permission to shoot here.

Jesse & Courtney Family…

I have had the honor of photographing these kiddos at our annual Little Heroes Santa Fundraiser event for many years. I finally got to have the whole family in front of my camera and we got such beautiful and fun results! We did most of their images in Freak Ally and I’m LOVING the look and their outfits were spot on! Those hats though!!!

Little Atlas is one so we celebrated his birthday and of course got his picture taken in front of a sign with his name. Oh so cute!!

I’m digging the urban look even though I’m an outdoors trees and tall grass kind of gal. Can you see your family here?

Landon/Jenkins Family…

“Our family is fun, can you capture that?”

Well of course I can. You be you, I will be me and genuine is what we will get! We have posed family for grandma’s needs and fun family for individual family needs. I have to say I am so thankful that this family was sent my direction. If you know this family, you know exactly what I am talking about. Good people! Genuinely good, kind people! I think they are my friends for life! At least I hope so!

This session included parents on both sides, grandma, siblings, cousins, etc. We accomplished all of it! Stacy booked the session to be held on their beautiful property right on the river. The river in August of course bring tons of mosquitos. Stacy brought the most amazing mosquito tool that I think everyone needs! Text me if you are interested (208-286-5131), I will send you an Amazon link. Seriously the coolest tool every. Way better than spraying mosquito spray on. ewwww You know when you are an adult when…you are excited about a mosquito repellent tool! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I can’t wait to see their images on their walls. They are big and beautiful! Exactly how they should be displayed to enjoy daily!

Thank you, Landon & Jenkins family…keep being amazing in this crazy world and making a difference! It is noticed and admired.

Anna…

My heart explodes with gratitude and love when Little Heroes families contact me for updated portraits! This family was in front of my camera in 2008!! Their little Tristen was a handsome little guy and is no longer physically with his family. We of course included his silhouette in the family portrait at the age and height he would be as a healthy 14 year old boy today. See the 10th picture to see the family portrait. This image is a big canvas on their wall. Love!!!!

This session was all about miss Anna and her senior portraits with a mini family session at the end, which I always highly recommend. We captured her downtown, the foothills in/near the water, and ended in the sunflowers. Anna loves to read and has such a cute and simple style! It was an honor to have her in front of my camera again. Last time she was so young!! Now she is such a beautiful and amazing young woman! Congratulations, Anna! Make your senior year amazing!!
