đź’› Little Heroes Spotlight: Justin, Allie & Ottilie đź’›
Allie’s life changed in an instant this past August. She started waking up with headaches that moved around her head, followed by dizziness. At first, her doctor thought they were tension headaches and prescribed a muscle relaxant and Excedrin. As a grade school teacher just starting the school year, it seemed like a logical diagnosis—but the headaches persisted.
A few days later, while driving home, Allie experienced depth perception loss in her left eye. Her husband Justin rushed her to the ER. After tests, an initial CT Scan revealed masses in her brain. From there, she was transported by ambulance to St. Luke’s Boise for follow-up scans and consultations. The surgeon said the largest mass, 3cm, needed to be removed immediately.
The surgery went well—but shortly after, Allie received the toughest news: Stage 4 Glioblastoma. She began discussions about chemo, radiation, and clinical trials. Radiation is five days a week for six weeks, with chemo in pill form. Since her surgery, she hasn’t had headaches or vision problems.
This amazing family wanted to capture memories before Allie’s hair begins to fall out. 💛 We spent a beautiful evening photographing them—first in casual outfits, then dressed up—and they absolutely nailed it! Their love, joy, and connection were so inspiring to witness.
Please keep Allie and her family in your prayers 🙏. Their faith, hope, and trust in God shine so brightly. She is fighting with everything she has, surrounded by a strong support system.
