Logan Tobias Frost
5lb 1oz — 17.5 inches.
Logan had a rare diagnosis, called Trisomy 13 (Patau Syndrome) which means he had an extra chromosome that results in underdevelopment of his cerebellum (brain) and heart, particularly his left ventricle. Trisomy 13 babies, including Logan, also often develop a cleft lip/palate and extra fingers.
Logan was born Tuesday evening at 9pm. We were blessed with 40 amazing hours with him! This boy was loved fiercely and kept comfortable the entire time. Yesterday Logan passed peacefully in Momma’s arms at 5pm, and is home in heaven! 💙
We are thankful to God for the blessing of life and the opportunity to see, hold, and love our son. Watching Raegan interact with Logan and say his name, was…special! 💙
We are thankful for our family and many friends who have loved us, supported us, prayed with us daily for an entire pregnancy!
We are thankful for the local church — Treasure Valley Baptist Church to have a weekly place to worship and local body of believers to help carry the burden of a life-limiting diagnosis.
We are thankful for a great experience and comprehensive care at St Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. From the first ultrasound to discharge home with Logan — the team’s we worked with were on point and kept us in the driver seat!
We are thankful for the free photo session provided by Photography by Kam and Little Heroes Inc. who captures beautiful memories for children and families with rare diseases!
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 KJV
This year, me and Candace have grown in faith! We’ve tried to focus on the joy. We’re thankful for the cross and Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. The promise of heaven through salvation is keeping us grounded. God is good.
“Even if the healing doesn’t come
And life falls apart
And dreams are still undone
You are God, You are good
Forever faithful One
Even if the healing
Even if the healing doesn’t come.”
God bless,
