This is a fun story! This super awesome family all showed up to their “Planning Session” on June 25. The whole family isn’t required to attend the planning session but they did and I’m so glad they did! I tried to talk them into their family session in the lavender fields for the following evening.Angie wasn’t so sure she could pull it all together by then and really wanted fall portraits. We went through all the planning details, booked their fall session and they were off to do their homework and I would see them again in October. About 10 minutes after leaving the planning session I got a text, “Hi Kam! So my family is liking the lavender idea and we are headed to the mall to see what we can find.” Of course this made me smile BIG! I tried to get that spot booked after a reschedule and either people were out of town, someone was sick, waiting on braces to come off…etc, etc. There was a reason I didn’t book it!! That spot was for the Peterson family!! They got most of their clothing planned but needed a tiny bit of help on picture day. Angie seemed a bit frustrated at the mall for one final push to get their outfits together and so I told her I would be there in 15 minutes. We worked together and found the perfect combo to make them look coordinated but not matchy matchy. We met that evening at the beautiful lavender fields and had a wonderful time! Part of their homework was sending me pictures of any walls they wanted to put family portraits on. They have a huge wall above an entertainment cabinet that has always bugged them. They really wanted to fill that spot.We were all originally thinking one real large one (at least 40”x60”) but really like the looked of three large ones to tell a story. I really loved getting to know this family. They have some pet stores in town that I plan on buying all my pet food and supplies at now. I really love their Facebook page and I love supporting local. Check out their stores! https://www.facebook.com/NWPets/Thank you, Peterson family! I’m happy to call you my friends! Looking forward to hanging up your portraits for you!
