A trip to Sun Valley to capture this family in their “home away from home” did not disappoint. I am really finding a lot of joy and satisfaction capturing families in places that mean something to them, and the families appreciate it too! Glory and I met a few weeks prior to their session and started planning. We talked about what not to wear and what to wear. We talked about the relationships within the family and their goals. When doing family portraits out of town it is easy to forget something. Of course mom makes sure everyone else is taken care of and then forgets things for herself. But she compromised and made things work and I think they all look fabulous! A little bribery of hot chocolate when we were all done and a few snacks kept everyone on their toes and ready for me to boss them around. I don’t know where to start about Glory…she is one of the kindest people I have ever met! Her son, Rye is a her little “mini me”. Genuine. Loving. Kind. Two peas in a pod! Little Eva is a spunky and kind little soul as well. The apple doesn’t fall from the tree! Eva and I became buddies and I loved every minute of it! Christian arrived at the session a little like Cramer from Seindfeld! haha He was helpful, up for anything, took instruction well and a handsome man he is! This is one beautiful family!
The image with Mnt Baldy in the background is very meaningful to this family. They spend a lot of time on those ski runs behind them. They decided on a 20×30 canvas of this beautiful family portrait.
The image of the kids faces is mom’s favorite! This one will display nicely as a 20×20 canvas.
The Improv fits perfectly over the fireplace and tells such a beautiful story. This grouping will definitely put a smile on all their faces every day!
Thank you Glory & Christian for a fun evening in your “home away from home”.
