When the King and Queen of Country Swing are in front of my camera…magic happens! You can just FEEL their love for one another in these portraits.

Grant and Shalee are pretty famous (see their TikTok, Insta & YouTube channel to name a few)! I had a wild idea for Pressly’s 18th birthday to throw a dance party and have Grant & Shalee come to town to teach everyone swing and line dance lessons. They were gracious enough to go along with my crazy idea and it helps that Grant is Pressly’s cousin! While they were in town they wanted pictures done. So, the only time we had was a sunrise session in April. Very early and pretty chilly…but oh. my. gosh!!! I need more sunrise sessions!

I have to admit I was fan-girling these amazing humans! I kind of felt like they were me as well which made me feel pretty rad! If not, I will stick with my little story in my head. These are of course only a few of the 51 amazing images we got.

If you ever want to throw the best party by teaching your guests how to swing and line dance, hit these guys up! The kids (and adults) had a blast. We danced until 10pm even though our feet and our back ached (that’s a country song I’m sure). We went to bed but the kids sat around the bon fire to end the night. The kids ended up playing their own music and dancing in the driveway longer, under the moon and the light of the fire…and I got to witness this on my ring camera the next day! Priceless!

I have a feeling we will never stop talking about this magical night and I can’t thank these amazing humans enough! They have a heart of gold and are the definition of fun!
