I met Ryan & Kendra through a mutual friend and loved them right away. Great people! They married later in life and have two amazing little boys! The boys kept me on my toes but I loved every minute of it! Between shoving pretzels in their mouth and drinking juice, we got some great family memories.
Party of #7!! I have known Natalie for years, through mutual friends but mostly through Facebook. Natalie is one of a kind! I love everything about her as I got to know her while we shopped for their portrait clothing. She is patient, she is kind, she is funny, she is beautiful! I enjoyed getting to know each of her kids personalities as we worked together on Friday evening. Her husband is a “gentle giant”. What a kind, quiet man! He has a lot of women in his life and he loves them deeply. Hunter is the only son, and his kind heart and smile will light up a room! He loves to ride his motorcycle, hunt, and I think just be outside with his dad! They are a busy family and I was honored to capture the relationships they have with one another! Thank you, Natalie & Barry!
It has been fun watching these kids grow up. Mom planned this session back in March so they would get a prime spot with the Fall colors. K & B (along with mom of course) were so fun to work with. They have complete trust in me, laughed and of course smiled through he whole session and went a long with almost every crazy idea I had…almost 😉 I love how excited they were for their session and had everything planned down to someone helping with hair. They all showed up looking marvelous!! I appreciate the efforts and excitement this family has…it paid off…their family portraits are just awesome!
Oh…the Coltrin family! ALWAYS fun to work with. These boys are so entertaining…non stop! We were playing in the foothills last night just focusing on family shots, the three amigos, the dynamic duo that heads this awesome family, and Zacory’s missionary portraits. They are remodeling their home and shooting for a more industrial and modern look.
I got to work with the mother a few months ago as we updated her business head shot. She contacted me again to meet her family and capture these perfect memories of their relationships and how little these boys are…so little. They are growing up so fast, and it doesn’t ever slow down. It’s always fun to photograph little boys, as I have girls and they are well…just different. Boys are always full of energy, destructive, they throw and break things. The grass, leaves, branches and old trucks kept these boys entertained! Thank you, Kite family!
2nd annual school days portraits in the studio yard was a success. Some aren’t satisfied with the school pictures offered at school so I offer MY version in the studio yard. We serve juice and graham crackers and all school aged children are welcome. I spend five minutes on each child and the parents get 4-5 images to choose from. The weather this year was very temperamental. It was cloudy, sunny, rainy…on and off the whole time. We made it work though! Here are a few of my favorites. Hope to see the same faces next year as I love to see how much they have changed and of course new faces are always welcome.
…we see each other a lot. Our youngest girls are great friends and they happen to kick butt playing soccer together. We have gotten to know one another as we cheer our kids on at the games and travel to support our kids. My favorite is when they bring “Gram-tini” to the games. She is a hoot and keeps us all on our toes and laughing. This family is very busy so we ended up doing their planning session in the parking lot at practice out of the back of my car. Now doesn’t that sound shady?!?! haha They did a great job on their clothes and took me to a location (new to me) that was beautiful, quiet, and so private. We had the place to ourselves! They chose, The Improv for their wall. I love the story it tells…thank you and enjoy!
Brian and Cathy agreed that they were due for new family portraits. I met with Cathy on all the details ahead of time and she got all her “boys” on board. With a few clothing changes via text, we were well on our way. We chose Bogus Basin as our backdrop because they spend a lot of time up there as a family in the winter. Everyone was cooperative and went a long with all the ideas. In the end, they are very pleased and ended up with one large family portrait to hang above their piano and others to compliment it that will align their stairs. I know they will enjoy these images for years to come! Thank you, Crites family! I appreciate you trusting me with your memories!
I have had the pleasure of photographing these kiddos for about four years now. Every once in a while I get the whole family. This is one of those times. We had a fun, yet relaxing evening in the studio yard. With all the planning ahead we were able to shoot for their goals, and just enjoy the session. I think the world of this family, they are so chill and trust me. They love and appreciate what I deliver to them and I know we will work together many more times as the kids grow up. I appreciate that they trust me with capturing the relationships they have. I LOVE that they always bring me fresh eggs from their chickens. Fiona & Ethan ALWAYS act like they have never met me and that always makes me giggle. They are pretty shy kiddos but I know how to get them to smile and warm up to me pretty quick. Thank you, R family!!
Michelle has watched all of the beautiful families on this page for years. Michelle finally contacted me and we met for her planning session. We figured out a date and location that worked best for her and her amazing little people! I got pictures text to me from the store dressing room asking how I liked the dresses she was trying on. We worked together on picking out the right outfits/jewelry for them. I got a picture of them via text from this trio as they were walking out the door for their session, “kids and I are ready, LOL” !! (I included the picture they sent…priceless!) Our teamwork made for a fun and beautiful evening! This family is beautiful, inside and out!
