Logan in the snow…

January 2, 2021 by admin Leave a Comment

Oh Logie!! How I love to photograph you! You love the camera and you are just such a good kid! Season 3 of 4 for this “Season Senior Tribe Member”. **GULP** So close to graduation now! The calendar year has changed and we can now say you are graduating THIS YEAR!!

The winter session is by far the shortest session of all the seasons. It is chilly but it doesn’t keep me from making these kids lay/sit/jump/walk in the snow! Logan knows the drill. He is anticipating getting wet, dirty and cold but never quite sure what I will pull out of my sleeve. But I love that he is always up for an adventure!

Logan will do his last session, spring session in the blooming orchards. We will incorporate family portraits at this time. Love this family and I can’t wait to have them all in front of my camera.

Are you interested in your senior being a part of our “Season Senior Tribe”?? The time is approaching to get on the list! There are two ways to get on the list…
1. click the link in my bio and book a “planning session” for the end of May or beginning of June (make sure you mention Season Senior interest in the comments)
2. DM Kam and she will add you to the list and get a hold of you as it gets closer.
We already have a few kids on the list! What a fun way to honor your senior! Fun way to see them change durning their senior year. Let me know if you have any questions!

We went from 1-2 season seniors a year to 14 this year!! Most kids are doing four seasons, I have some doing three seasons and some doing two seasons! I’m happy to help you decide what is best for your senior!

Paige in the snow…

Look at this gorgeous girl!! Season 3 of 4 for this “Season Senior Tribe Member”. **GULP** Time. Slow. Down.

The winter session is by far the shortest session of all the seasons. It is chilly but it doesn’t keep me from making these kids lay in the snow or pick it up to blow! Paige is such a tiny little thing and she was cold and wet when done but you can’t tell! She rocked it! She pushed through and got it done!

Paige will do her last session, spring session in the blooming orchards. What a beautiful way to finish “the year of Paige”.

James loves pottery…

January 2, 2021 by admin Leave a Comment

This kid is passionate and good at so many things but his recent passion is pottery. He has this pottery wheel set up in the garage and he loves molding the earth into art!

I captured James a few months ago for senior portraits with his mountain bike, his family and on the local mountain he spends so much time on. In a few weeks I get to capture him in the snow!
Senior portraits are meant to capture these kids in their element, in their happy place, with their hobbies and interests. How fun to look back and see what you were in to and if they are still things you are passionate about. I know I looked at my senior portraits not too long ago and had forgotten I got a picture taken with my camera (film camera that is!). I didn’t remember that!

Thank you, James for allowing me to capture YOU!! ✌ Peace, love and pottery.

A twist for this 🚄Season Senior Tribe member🚄…a letter from her mom. Hard not to cry with this one…

Harley Jo

It’s your senior year!! I had pictured this year being totally different than it is. I use to picture how proud your Dad and I would have been to watch you cross the stage at graduation. And now with Covid, watching you cross a stage may or may not happen. And your dad has passed away leaving us with a hole in our hearts and an empty seat. Even though things are not as we had planned…I do know a few things. Despite my begging you to stay small and stay in princess dress up clothes…you have grown up. You have grown into a beautiful young woman. You are so strong and have been my rock through all my stages of grief. You are smart…just like your Dad. You have even chosen a future path in the Air Force that I know your Dad would be so very proud of! You are kind and have a huge heart. And you have grown up and found so much strength within yourself in the last year. I am so excited to see what the future brings your way. I have no doubt that you will take challenges head on and find great success. And I will be right behind you the entire way! And your Dad will be watching proudly and guiding you as that little voice in your head. I am so very proud of you! When I grow up…I want to be more like you! I love you more than you could ever know. You are not just my sweet, beautiful daughter…but my best friend! I adore you Harley Jo.

Garrett (Fall)

A twist for this 🚄Season Senior Tribe member🚄…a letter from his parents. Are you loving these letters???

Dear Garrett,
I just can’t believe that your senior year is here, and already half over. While I am so happy at the thought of your future, I can’t help but want to hold on to you for just a little while longer. You are my firstborn, and even though you came into the world 7 weeks early and scared me to death, I also knew that you were a fighter and had a mind of your own. The doctors said you may meet your milestones late, and you proved them wrong by meeting them early. Determined is a word that I could use to describe every stage of your first 18 years. I know this, your senior year, has brought its definite share of challenges, but your determination continues to show. We have nothing but excitement at what your next successes will be as you become an independent adult. And through it all, I hope you never doubt that we will be here for you through your successes, failures, challenges, highs, and lows. Go out and do amazing things. We love you to the moon and back!
Love always and forever,
Mom and Dad

McKalee…

December 26, 2020 by admin Leave a Comment

This beautiful girl is one of my season seniors. She goes to Caldwell High School and has so many talents. I have enjoyed photographing her for two seasons so far. I’m sharing both on this post! Besides being absolutely gorgeous, she plays soccer and the viola. She loves reading and writing and loves time with her family. I look forward to capturing her with her family at her winter session.

One of the coolest things about being a season senior is so many outfits, different hair styles/colors, capturing all the hobbies and interests, sneaking in some family photos, but most of all…see how much they change in a year. It’s incredible! I’m honored to have this girl in front of my camera all year!

Here’s a letter from her mom…grab a tissue

McKalee-
Seems like just a minute ago that I had to pry you away from me as I dropped you off at daycare. There were many mornings I am sure if I had not told you that I needed you to be a ā€œGreat big sister and go to daycare to make sure Zooey was goodā€ you would not have gotten out of the car.
That stubborn, yet caring little girl has transformed into a determined, compassionate individual with a mind of her own. You have used these strengths endlessly as you have accomplished your goals in school, soccer, orchestra, work, and extra-curricular clubs. You have never settled for mediocre, but have always pushed yourself to be a leader and the go to person for others. Whether it’s needing a listening ear, someone to laugh with, or get things organized and done- you are the one everyone can count on to be there-always willing and with a big heart.
Your senior year has not been what I would have wished for you, but I am so proud of how you have found ways to make bright spots out of the darkness. You have made a choice to control what you can…your mindset! As you begin this next chapter in your life, continue to be true to yourself. There will be moments when you question the journey and experience a multitude of feelings along the way, but never doubt your ability to navigate life’s challenges. Let’s be real Sis, we’ve been through a lot and I am so confident that there is nothing you are not strong enough to handle. You are fierce and so loved. Should life kick you a ball that you can’t juggle, mom has your back ( Wentworth styleā€¦ā€wink, winkā€)!
Love Always!
Mom

Dawson in the Fall…

December 3, 2020 by admin Leave a Comment

A twist for this 🚄Season Senior Tribe member🚄…a letter from her mom. I’m crying with you…

Dawson,
I knew your Senior year would come eventually but honestly I wasn’t prepared for it to be here already, I was sure it wouldn’t go by this fast but here we are. You made me a mom for the first time and from the moment I laid eyes on you it was instant unconditional love. I knew at that moment I would do anything to protect you and give my all to help you become the young man you are today. You were always happy as a kid, picky with food but happy. Its been a fun watching you become the man you are today. You have continued to always impress me at everything you do, even when its hard you keep on trying and giving it your all. You are a hard worker with an amazing work ethic that shows your true character and that I know will get you far in your journey through life. I am happy to see you have found your passion for welding and are wanting to pursue that as a career because you are talented in welding and it’s important to do something you love and enjoy for a career. I may shed some tears when you venture out on your own because I will truly miss you at home but those tears will also be mixed with happy & proud tears knowing you are very capable of doing it on your own. Dawson I can truly say you have been an amazing kid and I love you more than you will ever know. I know your Senoir year isn’t how any of us imagined it would go with all the virtual school days but you always make the best of every situation.

Love You Lots D,
Mom
