Walker’s Diagnosis: PIGO CDG 1/18 in the world

Our mission at Little Heroes is simple- we want to give the gift of memories through photography. While we wish the phrase, “Your child or your spouse has x months to live.” didn’t exist, the sad fact is your neighbor or someone in your circle has heard this news. This news will cause much emotional turmoil for the families hearing it. The last thing most families can afford when the medical bills are piling up is a photo session . . . but we know how much the beautiful documentation of their family will mean to them in the years to come. Unimaginably, a Little Heroes photo session is the last professional photo session their family will ever have. With each donation Little Heroes receives, we can put it towards gifting one more family the reality of preserving this moment with their little hero.

An outline of Walker’s first year of life…
-May 30th, 2022 the birth of Walker Blue
-June 2nd, 2022-Admitted to the hospital
-June 5th, 2022-Diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s Disease
-June 8th, 2022-The pull through surgery on her colon (removed 2 feet)
-June 18th, 2022-Surgery number 2 on her booty
-August 8th, 2022-Surgery number 3 (gtube placement)
-November 30th, 2022 -Diagnosed with Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder (a rare deafness)
-December 21st, 2022-diagnosed with PIGO-CDG also called Mabrys Syndrome
-January 27th, 2023-WB got her first hearing aides
-March 8th, 2023-Walker had a hearing test that showed signs of hearing!! (Canceled the cochlear implants surgery)
-And many ER visits in between everything…
-May 30th, 2023- Big girl turns 1 year old!

It was a chilly day and it made sense to do pictures where Walker is most comfortable, in her home. Walker LOVES the color bright pink. She is the sweetest little soul. The picture of Walker sitting in the bed by herself is in her bedroom and her mom painted that beautiful wall. Her mom is an artist and such an amazing human! I fell in love with this family and I so appreciate them allowing me into their home to document their little family.
