Alex wasn’t super excited about senior portraits but his awesome uncle made it happen. Alex ended up having a blast and was super fun to photograph. I loved his interests along with open to ideas that popped up while walking around downtown. The crew came to the ordering session and I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the room. Have an awesome senior year, Alex!
You don’t always see them, but you know they’re there.
Crazy time of year with the end of school and family visiting but this family made the time to capture these important memories. Grandma and Grandpa are celebrating 52 years of marriage and visiting from Florida! In their short visit we were able to get together and update pictures with their grandkids. What a special session this was! We laughed a lot and seriously had a great time. The Barresi family means a lot to me and I am always honored to get them in front of my camera. Congrats on 8th grade graduation, Enzo. Don’t make fun of your mom for crying. And G!!! You better give me a hug next time I see you. You aren’t too big to hug me you stinker! Thanks for your assistance Roberto
😉 Glad you jumped in a few shots! Love your smile and hugs. Thank you, Lisa…love your smile, your hugs and your heart! Cheers!!
It’s always an honor when families come back. I actually just photographed the baby last year but talked them into a full family session this time. Most people are a bit camera shy but with some guiding and encouragement from me, they always have fun! With a little one, we had to make it short. Of course the baby loved the studio yard. The trucks and swing made him so happy. It was a beautiful evening to capture their relationships. Little brother thinks big sis is the best. What a beautiful relationship they have.

Look at this handsome kid! Some model shots in the studio! This kid is very talented. He is very kind. He is such a gentleman. I really enjoyed working with, Yale.
Yale, you are doing big things and bigger things are in your horizon!
This crazy crew is one of a kind amazing! If you know this family, you know what I am talking about. It has been fun getting to know them. We met seven years ago when all our kids were in BYRDS. Then swim team in the summer where the kids swam in circles, yes, a circular pool! haha And now Carolyn is one of my favorite mountain bike buddies. We typically see eachother on the trails or in Hyde Park for a beer. Either location, we always have fun! It only seemed appropriate to capture their family in the foothills where they love to be. It was a perfect spring evening, beautiful people and a beautiful backdrop!
Senior portraits are typically done the summer or fall BEFORE senior year begins. I hear all the time how much a child changes in the school year. So we came up with “Season Seniors”. It consists of four sessions leading up to graduation. A session each season. After the fourth and final session, you order and have memories from the entire senior year. Here is how we break it down:
Summer: in/near water and/or lavender
Fall: fall colors
Spring: all green and/or blooming trees
Each session requires a $375 deposit. All of that goes toward your order. By the time you order, you have a $1500 deposit. I will only be offering these spots to four seniors per year. Contact me to book your spot for the class of 2020. We will be holding their first session in June or July!
I have included one of my seniors from last year…so fun!!
Love this location this time of year. It’s a 1/2 mile walk but worth it! I contacted this fabulous family one Sunday afternoon to see if I could photograph them that evening. The answer was yes but no??? It’s 1:30pm and you want to meet for family portraits at 6:00pm? Ok!! Let’s do it! I went to their home at 3:30pm and helped them pick out their clothes. All outfits were from their closet except dads shirt and we did a quick run to the store to get him a shirt. We met at 6:00pm, drove to our location, walked in with camera and cooler in hand and had a really good time. I finally got to shoot in this location and it fit this family perfectly as they our outdoors people and obviously up for a spontaneous adventure. I have this portrait on my office wall and LOVE to tell this story. The thing is, family portraits do not need to be stressful. With me guiding you and helping you every step of the way, it truly can be fun! If you are feeling spontaneous and love this look, let me know, I’m happy to get your family to this location and capture memories and relationships of your family.
some come to clear your path…
This mama and her babies are on a new path in life. Change is scary but one thing that isn’t going to change is their amazing relationships together. It was very important to this mama to capture this time together and so we planned a session that worked for her! Less is more sometimes. Enjoy your new images, Jennifer & kiddos. Keep your head up, one foot in front of the other and keep smiling! You got this!!
This beautiful couple and their kids are blending families. So fun! I’m so happy for them. When you have this many people and so many boys, the session feels like nothing went right. But we busted out some beautiful family portraits and I can’t wait to see them on their walls.
