Cousins…These girls have my heart! They all have a bit of “Galeazzi” in them! They have big hearts and competitive spirits. They can be feisty but always beautiful, inside and out! With everyone’s busy schedule’s we for sure get their pictures updated, spend holiday’s together, support each other in sports, and a big bonus if we can do something fun in between all the craziness. 6th grade, 8th grade & 10th grade…slow. down. time…
I have had the pleasure of photographing this family for about 12 years now. It is so crazy how time flies. This family is pretty amazing! They have the kindest hearts, and they are some of the hardest working people I know. They have had portraits done with me enough that Ryan (dad) asked his wife two questions before their session: 1. Should I bring something to sit on? & 2. Am I going to have to take off my shoes? I laughed so hard at this but I also felt proud that he knows how I work and trusts me. He just wants to be prepared…even in the snow! I had you covered, Ryan! 😉 Monica always does an amazing job on the clothes. That is not easy but such a big part of loving your portraits. I guide you when choosing clothes, pose you to look your best and look for the best light! It really is fun, even in 20 degree weather! Nothing a little hot chocolate and hand warmers can’t fix. Thank you Okelberry family choosing me. I love working with you guys and I love watching your kids grow up. Which leads me to the baby of the family reaching the age of 8 to be baptized in your church. I can’t believe the baby is 8!! Glad we were able to capture his baptism portraits at the same time.
My sister! Growing up she was a pain in my ass and my best friend! I have always admired her and her qualities. She is fun!! She is a dork! She is talented at everything she does. She is beautiful inside and out and can be feisty as hell! She is simply amazing! She turns 40 this year and I can’t wait to celebrate her! This is her family and we had a blast playing in the snow. We laughed so hard and we froze a little. Like most people that haven’t made that call to book a session, my sister wasn’t super excited about being in the pictures. But she rallied and now has these amazing memories to enjoy for years to come! Of course she ended up having fun and LOVING the images and super thankful she was in them. I am so lucky because she cuts and colors my hair all year and I get to do her family portraits! Love you, sis!!
My girls with their dad…
It is a choice by both parties to be kind, parent together, and communicate.
I am thankful that even though Clarence and I didn’t make it together, we are pretty awesome at the co-parent thing.
I am thankful for my husband, Roger for being a great role model and parent. He is understanding and respectful of our situation.
Our girls have three parents that love them and guide them every day. We are all present in their lives.
It was an honor to photograph my girls with their dad and their dog, Winston (I could steal him!!). I helped them with their clothes and we had a great time in the magical winter wonderland. The session ended in hugs and smiles!!
Life isn’t always easy, and I am thankful for all of it. I am thankful for all of the hard times because I think I am way more appreciative of the good times. It takes a village and I love my village!!
The wonderful Fewkes family! We met when our kids were in daycare/preschool together, they attend the Santa Event every year and this was my second time photographing this beautiful family to create family art for their walls! We met for a planning session and ironed out all the details, we met at the mall and everyone got a new outfit, and then the photo session went smooth as butter! This couple is the true meaning of love and respect! When they speak to one another or the kids, it is always with love and respect. They get each other! The kids are just as wonderful! They take care of one another and love one another, and show it unconditionally.
We had a great time designing art for their walls. I wanted to share one of their decisions, this metal cluster of nine images. What a beautiful story of their family…
The world gets smaller every day. I met this wonderful family on a referral to do some business shots for their fantastic business, Keller Skin Care. As we chatted during the office session, we realized that they are my parents neighbors. My parents have talked about how fun this family is, how they all dress up and trick or treat together, how they have four young ones and are just fun people! Of course we hit it off and soon after I was meeting with Christine and planning their family session. This family is so busy but Christine made family portraits a priority and made it happen! She kept saying how crazy they were, they will just come and have a great time, whatever we capture is great because that is their family. Nothing posed and perfect! Well that makes my job easy! 😉 I loved the outfits she chose! The fun and colorful outfits fit their personalities perfectly! Christine has the patience of a saint!!! A SAINT!!! Wade was wonderful as he just took orders well and helped with the kids. Good man! The kids were so good, so happy go lucky, so funny all in their own way. Four completely different personalities that were all awesome! I can’t even count how many times we were emptying boots of snow, wiping noses, herding kids…hahaha I wouldn’t have changed a thing about this session…it was fun and they kept me on my toes! Thank you Keller family! I enjoyed every crazy minute with your family!
A trip to Sun Valley to capture this family in their “home away from home” did not disappoint. I am really finding a lot of joy and satisfaction capturing families in places that mean something to them, and the families appreciate it too! Glory and I met a few weeks prior to their session and started planning. We talked about what not to wear and what to wear. We talked about the relationships within the family and their goals. When doing family portraits out of town it is easy to forget something. Of course mom makes sure everyone else is taken care of and then forgets things for herself. But she compromised and made things work and I think they all look fabulous! A little bribery of hot chocolate when we were all done and a few snacks kept everyone on their toes and ready for me to boss them around. I don’t know where to start about Glory…she is one of the kindest people I have ever met! Her son, Rye is a her little “mini me”. Genuine. Loving. Kind. Two peas in a pod! Little Eva is a spunky and kind little soul as well. The apple doesn’t fall from the tree! Eva and I became buddies and I loved every minute of it! Christian arrived at the session a little like Cramer from Seindfeld! haha He was helpful, up for anything, took instruction well and a handsome man he is! This is one beautiful family!
The image with Mnt Baldy in the background is very meaningful to this family. They spend a lot of time on those ski runs behind them. They decided on a 20×30 canvas of this beautiful family portrait.
The image of the kids faces is mom’s favorite! This one will display nicely as a 20×20 canvas.
The Improv fits perfectly over the fireplace and tells such a beautiful story. This grouping will definitely put a smile on all their faces every day!
The candid image describes this family perfectly…the girls up to mischief, you can just hear John‘s contagious laugh, Paula entertained by her family, and Chase cracking himself up. Seriously, if you have ever spent time with this family, you know that it is nothing but good times and fun stories. John and Paula are one of the coolest couples I have ever met! They have been together since they were 16 and act like they just started dating! They have so much love and respect for one another, it is amazing!! They are both so kind and never too busy for anyone! They are not only successful as professionals, they volunteer and are very active in the kids sports and activities. They don’t miss a beat!! They always have a smile on their face and always thinking of others! Their kids are amazing little people! They are awesome on the soccer field and in school!
This portrait session took us to their “home away from home”. The location has meaning to them. I told them the type of backdrop I was looking for and they took me to their “canopy of trees trail” that they frequent. Thank you J & P for letting me capture your relationships at your special location!
Paula decided on one large portrait above her fireplace. 40×40 canvas
Paula and John spend a lot of time in their master bedroom. It seemed appropriate to have family portraits on the wall connecting the bedroom to the bathroom/closets. It is very open and anyone that walks in can enjoy them. The Improv fits perfectly on that wall.
A day trip to McCall to meet and capture this family. This beautiful grandma of seven is the proudest and most wonderful grandma you can ask for. Her life revolves around her family. She loves to make it to all of the sports events and spend as much time as possible with them. It was fun getting to know everyone in our short time working together and so awesome we were able to capture the whole family while everyone was in town for the holidays. We were able to capture the relationships of all them, each individual family, the cousins and of course grandma & grandpa. This family is beautiful, inside and out! Thank you Frances for choosing me to capture your memories!
“Family Squared”; All the images are printed on metal. This beautiful display will look amazing on the walls of their cabin.
“The Triple Treat”; This is a display of four canvases that will fit perfectly in her office over her favorite quote, “Life is a Journey, and only you hold the map”
“The Improv”; This display of seven canvases tells a beautiful story to be hung in their home to enjoy for years to come.
“Rustic Album”; New album this year. Fran’s will be displayed with 12 images from her family session to be displayed on a coffee table.
The Lawler family is top notch! Chris is an amazing father, husband and doctor. He was so amazing to work with when my Rylee fractured her wrist. So much patience and love for what he does. He couldn’t be this successful without his supportive and beautiful wife, Melanie! Melanie is such a wonderful supportive mother and wife. She is their biggest supporter! Their girls are so talented! They are great students, basketball, hockey and soccer players! The greatest part is the girls are best friends!
Family portraits are not only about capturing your family as they are now, but also about locations that have meaning. So of course I knew we needed to update their family portraits at their home away from home, Soldier Mountain area.
Soldier Mountain area is a little piece of heaven and it shows in these magical images of this family! It shows their love for life and their love for one another.
